Eric Dean Seaton was born in Cleveland, Ohio. While most children were running the streets, Eric was studying television, movies and reading comic books with the dreams of one day becoming a director.
After graduating from Ohio State University, Eric moved to Hollywood climbed the Assistant Director ladder on such series as “Hanna Montana” and “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment.” In 2004, Eric made his professional directing debut on Disney Channel’s top rated sitcom “That’s So Raven.” Eric went on to direct ten more episodes and was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Best Comedy Director. As an episodic director, he has helmed multiple episodes of several Disney Channel Series including “Sonny with a Chance,” “Cory in the House,” “Suite Life of Zack and Cody” and “Mackenzie Falls.” Additional credits include “Just Jordan,” and “True Jackson, VP.” Recently, Eric directed and produced two pilots “Calvin and Freddie’s Cosmic Encounters” and “The Wannabes” based on the Radio Disney group Savvy which was picked up internationally for 26 episodes.
